Invocation:

“Towards the ONE, the perfection of Love, Harmony, and Beauty. The Only Being, united with ALL the illuminated souls who form the embodiment of the Master, the Spirit of Guidance”

Resonance - What is it? Our good buddy Webster says:

res·o·nance

noun \ˈre-zə-nən(t)s, ˈrez-nən(t)s\

: the quality of a sound that stays loud, clear, and deep for a long time

: a quality that makes something personally meaningful or important to someone

: a sound or vibration produced in one object that is caused by the sound or vibration produced in another

*So by definition it deals with vibrations but also is seen as a quality

In Scientific terms - From Science website How Stuff Works:

Resonance, An object free to vibrate tends to do so at a specific rate called the object's natural, or resonant, frequency. (This frequency depends on the size, shape, and composition of the object.) Such an object will vibrate strongly when it is subjected to vibrations or regular impulses at a frequency equal to or very close to its natural frequency. This phenomenon is called resonance. Through resonance, a comparatively weak vibration in one object can cause a strong vibration in another. By analogy, the term resonance is also used to describe the phenomenon by which an oscillating electric current is strengthened by an electric signal of a specific frequency.

Resonance can also be observed in an automobile when a certain part like an ash tray, for example vibrates when the car is traveling at a certain speed. The ash tray is in resonance with the vibrations of the engine at that speed.

Mechanical resonance can produce vibrations strong enough to destroy the object in which they occur. For example, soldiers marching over a bridge can set up extreme vibrations at the bridge's natural frequency and shake it apart. For this reason soldiers break step to cross a bridge. In 1940 wind gusts at Puget Sound Narrows, Tacoma, Washington, caused a suspension bridge to vibrate at its natural frequency and the bridge collapsed.

In music, resonance is used to increase the intensity (loudness) of a sound. The comparatively weak vibrations produced at the end of an organ pipe, for example, cause a column of air in the pipe to vibrate in resonance, thus greatly increasing the loud-ness of the sound. This principle also applies to the human voice, in which the vibrations of the vocal cords are reinforced by resonant vibrations in the oral and nasal passages.

Electrical resonance is used to tune radios and television sets. Tuning consists of establishing a circuit with a resonant frequency equal to the assigned frequency of the desired station.

Resonance - In Mystical Terms

The secret of the religious custom of having gongs and bells in temples and churches lies in the great science of the Hindus, which is Mantra Yoga. In the first place, this custom unites several religions, since bells are rung in Christian churches, in the temples of the Hindus, and in Buddhist pagodas. Many think that it is a call to prayer, but from a mystical point of view it is something more than that. The idea of the mystic is to make his heart capable of resonance, that every voice that rises on earth or descends from heaven may have its re-echo in his heart. The Sufi prepares himself by his exercises of zikr and fikr to make his heart capable of producing that resonance that may be caused on earth or descend from heaven. When the centers of the body and faculties of the mind are prepared to produce that resonance, then they respond to every sound, and every time the bells is rung it has its re-echo in the heart of the mystic, and every center of his being begins to think of God and to feel God. Vibration is a greater stimulant than wine. Wine gives intoxication to the brain, but vibration produces ecstasy in the heart. Therefore Sufis have called it wine. -  Volume XIII - The Gathas Section 6 Bells and Gongs

The Body is a Resonator: (back to the idea of being a Divine Instrument)

The physical effect of sound has also a great influence upon the human body. The whole mechanism, the muscles, the blood circulation, the nerves, are all moved by the power of vibration. As there is a resonance for every sound, so the human body is a living resonator for sound. Although by sound one can produce a resonance in all substances, such as brass and copper, yet there is no greater and more living resonator of sound than the human body. The effect of sound is upon each atom of the body, for each atom resounds; on all glands, on the circulation of the blood and on the pulsation, sound has its effect.

Volume II - The Mysticism of Music, Sound and Word Part II: Music

Opening the capacity for the Divine resonance to sound forth through.

“THERE IS a stage of evolution in man's life where his every question is answered by the life around him. If there is a living being before him or if there is nature around him, if he is wakeful or if he is asleep, the answer to his question comes as an echo of the very question.

As certain things become an accommodation for the air in order to turn it into sound, so for every thought of a sage everything becomes an accommodation in order to help it to resound, and in this resonance there is an answer. In point of fact the answer is in the question itself; a question has no existence without answer. It is man's limited vision that makes him see the question only, without the answer. “

Volume XIV - The Smiling Forehead Part II - The Deeper Side of Life Chapter XIII Insight

Meditation: Ring the bell and focus on the resonance of the sound, see if you can enter the sound and resonate with it somewhere within you. Then in the silence afterwards stay in the vibration of that sound for a moment feeling it’s ripple expand out.

Khatum:

O Thou, Who art the Perfection of Love, Harmony, and Beauty,

The Lord of heaven and earth,

Open our hearts, That we may hear Thy Voice,

Which constantly cometh from within.

Disclose to us Thy Divine Light, which is hidden in our souls,

that we may know and understand life better.

Most Merciful and Compassionate God,

give us Thy great Goodness; Teach us Thy loving Fogiveness;

Raise us above the distinctions and differences which divide men;

Send us the Peace of Thy Divine Spirit, And unite us all in Thy Perfect Being.

Amen

*Prep to jam: mention Devi’s Indigeouness Journey and introduce the song by Rose. Speak about this song and the project as it relates to resonance.

Meaning of the Prayer Sung By Rose

CHANT OF BIRTHING - Maori Healer Rose from New Zealand

Ko te Kuranui

Ko te Kuraroa

Ko te Kura Tu Hae Po

Ko Naa wai nui

Ko Naa wai roa

Ko Naa wai A huruhuru

Ko te manawa nui

Ko to Manawa roa

Ko te Manawa aroha

Ko te iti Kahurongi

Here is the meaning of this Chant of Birthing

The immense violet flame

The patient violet flame

That stands forth from the darkness

The immense waters

The patient waters

The cherishing water

The immense heart

The patient heart

The Divine heart of unconditional Love

The blue diamond links to the blue diamond bridge

from whence we came to where we’re going.

Divine Source realigns, sharing the vibrations of the energy – clearing.

The violet flame transmutes and protects, the cherishing waters cleanse

and strengthen, the Divine Heart

It is time for people to remember their own power and wisdom

*Song and following jam should be with intent focused on being a capacity to resonate something greater while being aware of what is resonating from us.

Finish with a moment of silence to sit in the vibrations we created.
